From the time Miska could speak, she communicated very passionately and loudly her need to be around horses.
What started out as pony rides quickly led to lessons, and by the time Miska was eight she owned her very first horse. Learning to ride was quickly followed by competition and showings, earning Miska ribbons of all colors in Hunter, Jumper, and Equitation classes.
Work Experience
Miska has over 15 years’ experience training horses and eight years’ experience teaching others how to communicate with and ride horses effectively. From starting horses and introducing new riders to horses, to training Hunter/Jumping competitors, the passion Miska feels for these creatures is evident.
At Sound Equine, Miska coordinates the general care and assigned rehabilitative exercises for our on-site patients.
Miska has an organic relationship with horses that she has deftly translated into budding career.
Career Highlights
- Won Equitation Medal class in the biggest West Coast Hunter/Jumper show: the HIT series in Thermal, at age 12
- Multiple Championship Awards in Hunter/Jumper shows throughout her junior years
- Competing as a professional, won several 1.2 meter Jumper Classes
- Trained many horses up through the levels and won Class competitions while doing so
- Saw one of her students win the Championship Award and Year End Achievement Award representing her high school while under Miska's training.
