Canine

  • Canine Body Work

When it comes to caring for Man's Best Friend, Sound Equine and Canine Care offers the knowledgeable, gentle and personal touch that you are looking for.

  • Electrical Stimulation

Electric stimulation is used therapeutically to reduce pain, increase circulation, and promote healing. Electrodes are applied directly to the skin, and deliver low voltage intermittent stimulation to the surface nerves of the skin. Transmission of pain signals are blocked by the release of endorphins, allowing healing.

  • Massage

Manipulation of soft tissue eases stiffness, promotes circulation and tissue drainage, and provides muscle relaxation and pain relief.

  • Rehabilitation

Certain injuries require intensive or more regular intervention than a visiting therapist can provide. Sound Equine & Canine Care's rehabilitation center accomodates horses with tendon, ligament, and soft tissue injuries.

  • Ultrasound

Ultrasound therapy for horses and dogs has proven to increase cellular activity and circulation in damaged muscles, tendons, and ligaments. There is a reduction in muscle spasms and an increase in connective tissue mobility. Ultrasound combined with stretching exercises will elongate muscle and reduce scar tissue restriction.
